Giving with Purpose

This is no ordinary time. It demands of each of us, whatever our talents, background, or means, something powerful. What is your purpose in this moment? If you were to be ideally successful, how would the world be different?

I’m your thought partner in a process to articulate the answers to these questions. Your answers will drive your giving and make it powerful.

I bring together years of experience and a large and diverse network of seers, thinkers and doers to provide fresh insights and identify opportunities to make positive change that others may miss. The William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, George Soros' Open Society Institute, The Nathan Cummings Foundation, the Bernard and Anne Spitzer Charitable Trust, the Marguerite Casey Foundation and many others have drawn on my advice to shape groundbreaking grant making initiatives and unleash social change at a scale that matters.

Testimonials

Peter is the master of asking the right question. I have learned a lot from him over the years and can say the work I do today would not be the same if it weren’t for the time I’ve spent watching him in action.
— Rachel Pritzker, President, Pritzker Innovation Fund
Peter is one of the most strategic thinkers I know. He has great vision, communicates well, and works easily to build consensus to move projects forward.
— Leisle Lin, Senior Vice President, Alfred P. Sloan Foundation
Peter was able to frame the issues in a way that didn’t simply replicate conventional wisdom, but instead offered different and unexpected ways of thinking about how the Trust could maximize its impact.
— Sara Kay, CEO, The Bernard & Anne Spitzer Charitable Trust

About Peter Teague

Peter began his life of service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone, working in the fields with rice farmers. That experience has colored everything that's followed, including years as an advisor in the U.S. House and Senate, as a non-profit leader and a senior philanthropic strategist.  Peter has learned a lot about what works and what doesn't, about the need for humility, patience and perspective in this work. He is noted for his self-awareness and compassion, and, maybe most important, his ability to bring the right people together to achieve uncommon impact.
